As an artist, I find inspiration everywhere, with nature being a significant source. However, it is truly the beauty within God's creations that inspires me the most.

Have you ever heard the legend of the Dogwood Tree? This legend is a story that resonated with me from the moment I heard it. It became a wellspring of creative inspiration for my painting. In this blog post, I am thrilled to share how this enduring legend ignited the artistic process behind this beautiful piece.

I LOVE flowers! I love looking at them, I love painting them, and I love receiving them most of all!! People give flowers for all kinds of reasons, or no reason at all other than to brighten someone's day. I always say getting flowers for no reason at all is the absolute best, but to be honest…I love getting them no matter the reason! The biggest problem (or only problem in my opinion) with fresh flowers is that they will eventually wilt. Well, if you are like me and want to preserve flowers from special occasions (or just because they are beautiful) this solution is for you, and this is how it all came about….

Every Christmas season I make a variety of sweets that I give to friends and family. SO FAIR WARNING…. reading this might cause BORBORYGMUS (stomach grumbles!). Some of these delectable goodies include homemade caramel, turtles (made with the previously mentioned caramel), western pecan pralines, and autumn brittle. And as promised, I am going to share with you some of these recipes and give you the low down on the baking scene in my kitchen this time of year.

Before I start this spiel, I’m gonna tell you… I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! I mean really LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas. Ok, that sounds a bit crazy, let’s just say, I love Christmas…but not in a weird way, like ugly sweaters and glitzy Santa jewelry every day (let’s be honest, those are only reserved for the best Holiday parties!) Knowing how much I love this holiday; you can understand that narrowing down my 7 favorite things is a bit daunting. But I will buckle down and give you my favorites list along with a little explanation why they are so special to me.

I recently released the “Color Pop Series”. Each painting is a different flower surrounded by a different color. These paintings can be placed individually or all together on one wall to complete a rainbow of color and flowers. And this is how I came up with the idea.
